The house is ready... now where is the tree?

Today I rearranged the living room. I've been wanting to move the piano since Cori salvaged it before my Dad could burn it... (possible outcome of anything Dad decides he doesn't really want around his house anymore and is to much of a bother to take to the dump or give away). Anyway-  Today I moved the piano- by myself I might add. So now I have a lovely wall/corner of my living room sitting... open... empty*... just waiting for a friend aboutt 7 feet tall with prickles all over over it... you know the friend we've all been anticipating since last year when we chopped our old friend up into little bits and threw him away in the the trash can.

It is December 1, where is my Christmas Tree??? I'll tell you. Somewhere in the forest, waiting for me to come and find him, have Cori unceremoniously chop him down drag him over the river and through the woods, strap him to the hood of the car and bring him on home to fill my living rooms empty place... Then I will be full of Christmas cheer.

I've trying holiday music, Christmas movies and stories...Tonight I even made a Christmas paper chain, I thought it would help me get in the spirit... no such luck. I guess I'll just have to buck up and hold out until Saturday at 9am when we meet in the church parking lot and make our way up the mountains to trudge through the snow and find the perfect tree.

*Did you know that EMPTY is the only word in the English language you can remove any single letter from and it can still says the same thing? I've always found that interesting.
