Can you tell she is in excruciating pain ;)
Havah had a little mishap on our neighbor friend's bike Sunday night.
Proof again that children should ride bikes... and not the other way around.
She has a small buckle fracture.
Cast tomorrow then 3 or 4 weeks.
We are hoping she can get a swimming cast, but the dr. office said they weren't sure they have one her size. We shall see. She really wants to go swimming at the Alcorn Family Fling.
Aw! Poor kiddo! That promises to be a pain to deal with for a few weeks!
ReplyDeletePoor Havah!
ReplyDelete"don't have one her size"???? It's not about size. The only difference is the liner. the outside fiberglass that they used for Keira was the exact same stuff they used on the first one that was a regular cast. Instead of the cotton (or whatever fabric) liner over her arm they use Goretex. It just wraps around the way the fiberglass does so unless she's getting some totally pre-fabbed cast, it's not about size but whether they have the right inner material. I really hope she can get a waterproof one. It was such a lifesaver for us. Life would have been so miserable if Keira couldn't have gotten one.
