Grandpa Date

Thanks for lunch Grandpa!
(and the trip to Costco for diapers and pull ups...)

He can do anything!

We had a big windstorm last week that ripped off about 5 or 6 x 3 feet of shingles.
Have no fear.

Cori can do anything.
I'm going to get in trouble for posting another picture of Cori's backside on my blog.
But it's so cute... and works so hard.

Sometimes I wish I lived in Canada

This is my favorite, and by favorite I mean I could eat 10 of these in one day... not exaggerating.

It's called a Big Turk.
You can keep all your 'American' candy bars.
Give me a Big Turk.

Be warned... I am like the only person in the USA who likes these.
(think of raspberry twizler covered in milk chocolate)
So go to Canada... pick up a dozen Big Turks... taste one, decide you don't like um' and send um my way. ;)

*Havah woke up this morning and decided her name is Sugar Dimples. Don't ask why... I don't know... I just hope she grows out of it soon and it sounds to me like the name used by someone in a line of work I hope Havah never even knows exists... And she's making EVERYONE we meet call her Sugar Dimples.

*Lilly exploded her diaper through a skirt and pants at choir this afternoon. I thought only babies did that.

*We have a 'friend' named Rebbecca staying at our house tonight.... she would like waffles for dinner and I keep stepping on her toe. (she is also invisible) Have you ever tried not to step on an imaginary person's toe? It's very difficult.

*All the kids in my nursery class stayed today. There were some tears, but everyone when home happy. That's a miracle.

*I got a 2 hour nap... that is happiness.

And now I'm going to go make waffles for Rebbecca.... she is a guest after all.

Know I know who they'd keep...

This morning the girls were playing orphan. Pretending to cry and say things like 'Our momma and daddy are dead! Oh no! It's so sad!" Mostly, this is Havah and Lilly just repeats whatever she says... so this goes on for a few minutes and then Havah stops, looks at Lil and says, "No, that's to sad. Lets just have mom be dead." Lilly says okay and they pick back up where they left off, "OH our momma is dead! Now we just have a daddy!"

On the bright side.... at least they were sad I died... :) Right?

Maybe some lunch?

Conversation with while making dinner:
2 year old walks into the kitchen, leans up against the wall, crosses her legs at the knee and says "Maybe some lunch Mama?"

"How about some dinner? We already had lunch."
"Otay." Tapping her index finger against the side of her mouth she adds speculatively,"an' ice cheam?"

"Oh, I don't have any ice cream... we'll have to get some at the store next time. How about some cake and milk?"

"Otay Mama, I dit my Peito help my mama make cake!" (I'll get Pepito (from the Madeline cartoons) to help you make the cake!)
She turns around and in that deliciously funny way only at 2 year old can run returns to her movie.

I really like her.

When I say "Braxton"- you say "Hicks!"

Question for the universe?

Why can't abs take a lesson from uterus' and schedule their own independent workout time during the day? We would all look so awesome!

Classic Havah

(demonstrating some of her 'tricky skills')
Yesterday we ate a picnic dinner at the church, in hopes of getting to have dinner with our Daddy, alas it didn't happen, but it was lovely.

At the same time we were eating our dinner, an Eagle Scout Court of Honor was being held in the gym. They had cake and brownies and lemon bars and punch... we were a little jealous with our pb&J and roast beef sandwiches. Now usually when we're waiting for Daddy on a Sunday we play in the gym... not going to happen during at Court of Honor.

So Havah is explaining to Cori this morning that after we ate dinner she didn't get to play in the gym because (and I quote), "It was FULL OF MORMONS! They were all over the place!"

The reason for her statement I believe comes from watching these but I could be wrong...

Cow Tail

No pig or pony tails for this girl this morning.
She needed a cow tail.

"Do you want to know the gender?"

"Yes please, we need to know if our baby is a Gideon, so that if not, we can start retraining these girls!" (we've been calling our baby Gideon for a while now. Apparently someone wanted their gender known, because she stuck the little ultra sound thing on my stomach and without even having to look around declared, "Well hello there Gideon."

We're all pretty excited to have a brother at our house.
Havah told me this afternoon, "I can't wait for Christmas to be done so I can have a brother!"

As for the prize that was promised,
Aunt Sue, I put everyone's name (who picked blue) in a jar and you are the lucky lady!
Now I just need to figure out what it is... :)

Today is the day...

You have until noon to day to guess...
Sugar and spice or Snakes and snails???

We shall see...

I blog in my head?

I was just looking at my camera today and realized that I have gone a little to cerebral.
There are LOTS of pictures on our camera... hundreds. Different adventures, and precious moments, and in my head, they are blogged.

Then I look peak at my little corner of cyber space and they are not.
Is that bad that I am so out of touch that not only am I not actually physically writing about my life, but I'm also not even writing about it in a place that doesn't actually exist (namely this blog)?
I just write it in my head and I'm done! SWEET. Don't you wish you had my skills?

So here is our life. At least part of it...

We got a new mini van on Craigslist... for FREE!
(with a Lil' Tyke's slide)

talk about a steal of a deal.

It's been so fun!

Our Daddy has been working on school... lots... he's almost done with his last Japanese class!
And he's been working hard in the Garden... I like it when he works in the garden.

Good view.

We've also been watching lots of bugs in the yard. Look at this cool guy with his orange legs.

And we've been throwing fits... lots of those... 2 and 3 year old in the house...
And, (if you haven't figured it out from the pics) Lissa came home.
We're loving having her back.

So there is the condensed version of my mental blogs.... WAY condensed.
