I love my kitchen drapes. I found them in a box of stuff I brought into our house when we moved it. I'd never seen them before, no one else seems to know where they came from. I like to think my angel mother pulled some strings and left them for me as a house warming gift. Something she made them for her house, never got around to hanging them up, and 'helped' me find them so they could be enjoyed. And I do, I do enjoy them. They add a little extra something to a sunset in this big Idaho sky, (and to my kitchen).
Your stupid mother for got to shop. There was no food, we were all about to drop. You sucked it up, all 5 of you. We left to shop at 11:42. Through the aisles we walked and chose. Thank you for voices that never rose. We made it home and had some lunch. You awesome kids, thanks a bunch!
It's been a week of recovery. Still not sure I feel myself again, but I think part of that is that I'm pregnant... so I don't feel like myself anyway.
2 things. one ) The wedding was lovely and beautiful. God wants us to be happy, and when do our part, He makes great things happen. two ) I have never been more exhausted in my life than I was the evening after the wedding.
So I have been spending the week trying to collect myself. Get my house back in order (mentally and physically).
On Thursday we had our regular appointment at the Baby Place, after I had my turn with the doppler, Lilly walked up to the table, "My turn now?" One of our very nice midwives, Sam, laid her on the table and let her listen to 'her baby'. She thought that was pretty awesome. August 10th is the day of discovery... stay tuned... Blue or Pink? what do you think? Leave a comment with a guess and out of those who guess correctly randomly pick someone to get a present... that will be fun.
Now off to get ready for the day we have friends to play with.... no more time to waste here in cyberspace.
A little before 1pm these two lovely people were married for time and all eternity in the Boise LDS Temple. I don't remember the last time I cried so many happy tears. We are truly blessed. Welcome to the family Mom (and crew).
You know those mornings when nothing fits right? Do you have a special something that you know will always make you feel good when you put it on?
This morning Lilly got her hair cut... and then her mother made her wear pig tails (we're getting used to them this week so she'll leave them in on the big day, (that's this Saturday, aka Grandma RaLyn and Grandpa's wedding) needless to say, it was rather upsetting.
This is Lilly's go to outfit. When nothing else feels right, a bubble gum dress and stripe tights always make the world a better place.
However the only evidence I have to support that claim is from a bunch of eye witnesses and Tasha asking me why her bed smelled (and I quote) 'like a dude', at nap time yesterday. We had a nice little slumber party visit before sending them on their way to medical school in Mesa. They're gonna do great! See, don't you want her to be your doctor in a few years?
This is my friend Mary. And her husband Mike. I would say he's my friend, but I've only met him once for like 5 minutes.
Anyway- I like them. So I'm asking a favor of anyone who reads this silly little blog of mine. Go to www.mike-and-mary.com Scroll down. Look to the right. Copy the html code for their button. And add their button to your blog or Facebook page.
And if you're unsure about advertising people you don't know as adoptive parents, go read this first, and then you'll want them to be your friends too.
